Orthopedic shoulder specialist Michael Boin, MD, has delivered a series of lectures to
orthopedic surgeons in the United States and Latin America. These educational
programs focused on advanced techniques in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and
the augmentation of repairs using BioBrace®, a bioinductive implant designed to
support tendon healing.
Dr. Boin’s lectures emphasized surgical strategy, patient selection, and clinical
application of BioBrace in both primary and revision rotator cuff repair. The programs
combined scientific evidence with practical, real-world insights drawn from Dr. Boin’s
clinical experience, providing surgeons with actionable guidance on incorporating
biologic augmentation into their practices.
BioBrace is a bioinductive implant engineered to reinforce soft tissue repairs while
promoting biologic healing. Clinical data has demonstrated that the use of bioinductive
implants such as BioBrace can lead to improved patient-reported outcome
measures and enhanced healing rates following rotator cuff repair, particularly in
challenging cases and high-risk patients.
The international scope of these lectures reflects Dr. Boin’s ongoing commitment
to surgeon education, innovation, and global collaboration in shoulder surgery. His work
continues to support the adoption of advanced arthroscopic techniques and emerging
biologic technologies aimed at improving surgical outcomes worldwide.
